Summertime Blues

This piece was a collaboration from a client who has spent more than 10 years visiting north eastern Vancouver Island to observe a pod of orcas known as the A30s. I chose one of his photographs to represent three generations of females. I wanted the water to be the focal point creating a subtle but marked transition from the calm background of the ocean to the surprise of the pod surfacing towards the boat. Image size is 18x26 inches, series of 10, signed and numbered. Frame not included.
