I have seen moose in almost every province of Canada and to me it is one of the most grand and statuesque animals in our nation. I have watched them swim while paddling a canoe, been chased by a mom while working in the field but I see them the most in open meadow or bogs. This piece is inspired by crisp autmn mornings, frost clinging to the grass and a blaze of colour reflecting on the fur in a late afternoon sun.
