Great Horned Owl

Can an owl have horns? Well not really, the feature looks like horns but they are beautifully decorated feathers. A curious adaptation, possibly for better hearing? The Great Horned Owl blends so perfectly perched against tree bark, excellent camouflage for hunting its prey.
