We have such an incredible abundance of bald eagles. Every corner you turn on a trail or look along the treetops on the beach, there are eagles perching, flying on thermals, or feeding on carrion. This piece is inspired by a combination of photographs and I wanted to give the feathers on the crown and the beak equal emphasis. I chose unusual colours to create an antique, even historical archival look. The colours also represent our foggy and rainy grey days. I find most of the time you only get a chance to see a head of white feathers in the distance obscured by the windy rainy elements.
Hand pulled print is 9x13 inches, series of 10, signed and numbered. Frame not included.
