Chanterelles

Seafood is abundant in our ocean but our rainforest brings wonderful edibles. Chanterelles are an exceptional fungus to eat. Meaty and buttery, it's a feast in late summer and early fall. This piece celebrates the bounty and the incredible hues of orange and cream. I added a metallic puce colour to enrich the contrast of the gills and provide a dewy fresh sheen.
