Black Bears to me are gentle giants but I leave them alone. This portrait is inspired by the largest black bear I have ever seen...from a distance. Beautiful glistening thick fur and such a calm face.

Hand pressed linocut printed with black ink on real Canadian wood veneer. Mounted on an 11 x 14 inch white backer making it easy to display in a standard size matte or frame.
