Wolves inhabit western Vancouver Island and I am a lucky person every March to see frequent sitings outside my window. They are so elusive, lithe, and almost haunting to watch how they tiptoe as they trot. This pack of wolves occasionally has a pure black one. I caught a picture as it poked it's head out of the salmonberry branches in early morning light casting a red glow in the eyes.
